Using Motivational Strategies to Develop University EFL Students’ Reading Skills

This study aims at examining the effectiveness of motivational strategies in promoting reading performance Saudi female students learning English as a foreign language (EFL). The quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. Two university EFL classes were randomly selected. One class, experimental group, taught through strategies. Another had regular instruction. Results showed that outperformed on post-test overall well each skill after implementation teaching strategy based It can be concluded motivation is vital comprehension making positive and enthusiastic their classrooms.
