Using Motivational Strategies to Develop University EFL Students’ Reading Skills

This study aims at examining the effectiveness of motivational strategies in promoting reading performance Saudi female students learning English as a foreign language (EFL). The quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. Two university EFL classes were randomly selected. One class, experimental group, taught through strategies. Another had regular instruction. Results showed that outperformed on post-test overall well each skill after implementation teaching strategy based It can be concluded motivation is vital comprehension making positive and enthusiastic their classrooms. Teaching should have its place classes. teachers devote sufficient time make efforts to exploit these with different types.
